OBJECTIVE: Tell children that Jesus Christ has a mortal mother, Mary, and an immortal father, Heavenly Father. Jesus is God’s Only Begotten Son. Because He loves us, He sent Jesus to the earth to be our Savior and our example.

TO MAKE Print or copy the activity.
1. The scene can be laminated with pieces for durability and mounted with double-stick tape.
2. Children can move the scene as they help tell the story of Jesus’s birth. Play act the night Jesus was born by creating a manger scene with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds, wise men, star, and cattle.
THOUGHT TREAT: Star Pudding Painting. Mix up some banana pudding and let children scoop up some onto waxed paper to finger-paint a star then eat it. Think about that special star that shone brightly that special night.
