ACTIVITY:
1. Ask children/youth, “Who has set a good example for you in your life on how to choose the right?” Write names on the board, including the name of Jesus Christ. Tell them Jesus has set a perfect example for us because He is perfect. He does everything Heavenly Father commands Him to do. Jesus wants us to love and serve others. In Acts 10:38, we read Peter’s words, Jesus’s Apostle, saying that Jesus went about “doing good.”
2. Ask children/youth, “What are we doing that’s good?” Then say, “Let’s play this Helping Hands Connection game to see if we are doing as good as Jesus did. To make the Helping Hands Connection, let’s take turns turning over a hand of Jesus and placing it on the left and placing our Helping Hand on the right to see if we can make a match or a connection.” The actions of Jesus need to be similar to your actions.

When matches are made, place the matches in the center (as shown).
Match A with A and B with B, etc.
EXAMPLES:
A – Jesus touched the blind man’s eyes to help him see. – Matt. 15:30
MATCHES WITH
A – Jimmy helped the little old lady next door find her glasses.

Thought Treats for lesson activitiesTHOUGHT TREAT: Helping Hand Cookies. Cut out hand-shaped cookies using sugar cookie dough. Bake. Add a bit of the color orange or pink (to white frosting) to make a flesh color. Girls love to paint fingernails with pink (colored frosting). Talk about how our hands do so many things to serve.
