$3.00 FOOTSTEPS TO FOLLOW JESUS Songs of Jesus pick-a-song: Primary Music Singing Time Activities to Motivate Children to Sing, download from GospelGrabBag.comDIRECTIONS: Let’s sing about Jesus with these fun song picks found on the sandals. Also, pull out a singing direction circle that will decide how the song will be sung!

Children will be encouraged to follow Jesus (walk in His footsteps) as they choose songs that remind them to follow Him. They can sing the songs in different ways by choosing the circle singing commands(e.g., “Hum” vs. sing, or “Boys Only”).

To Make: Print, color, and cut out the song feet and direction circles. On the blank-feet page you can write practice song titles or other song titles that encourage children to choose the right. Laminate images, cut out, and place in two separate containers to draw from (feet in one and the singing command circles in another).

To Use:
Show children a sample foot and the singing command circle to explain the activity as follows:
1. Have two children come up; one child draws a foot and the other draws a singing command circle.
2. Sing the first verse of the chosen song altogether. Then sing it according to the singing command circle, e.g., “Boys Only.”
3. Once a song is drawn, don’t place it back in the container. Don’t put the singing command circles back in the container until all are drawn.
