OBJECTIVE: To teach youth how to recognize and seek the true gifts of the Spirit and not be deceived by evil.
ACTIVITY: Gifts of the Spirit D&C 46 (Match Puzzle)
Have children draw a line from the scripture to the gift (of the Spirit) found in the scripture. Talk about the gifts and why it is important to recognize and seek true gifts.
SPIRITUAL GIFTS are given to benefit all of Heavenly Father’s children. How do these gifts help us build God’s kingdom? Consider what you will do to seek “earnestly the best gifts” (1 Corinthians 12:31). More ideas below from Come, Follow Me, New Testament p. 135*.
