OBJECTIVE: To help youth understand that if we have faith in the Lord, He will help us meet whatever adversity we face.
ACTIVITY: D&C 121:7-8 Bite-size Memorize: “Peace be unto thy soul, thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment; And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.”
Youth can memorize this scripture to know that they can rely on Heavenly Father anytime. Faith and prayer are the keys to receiving guidance and making decisions. As youth obey the commandments the Holy Ghost will guide them.
TO MAKE Print or copy the scripture poster for each youth.
THOUGHT TREAT: Seeds of Faith. Give youth sunflower seeds in a cup or plastic bag. Tell them that faith like a little seed. It starts small and grows. The more we think good thoughts and say prayers to our Heavenly Father, the stronger our faith becomes.
