POST-AND-PRESENT ACTIVITY. GIFTS FROM JESUS think-and-tell. Youth can learn about the gifts from Jesus and say how they are blessings. For example, as they draw a GIFT and read the scripture, e.g. “Whoso believeth in me, and is baptized … shall be saved” (3 Nephi 11:33). Then they might respond by saying the BLESSING, “By keeping my baptismal promises I can live with Jesus and Heavenly Father again someday.” Great discussion activity.

ACTIVITY: Gifts from Jesus (Think-and-Tell)
Tell youth, “While Jesus was here on the earth, he taught us many wonderful things. Let’s learn about these special teachings or GIFTS Jesus gave us, and how these GIFTS bless our lives.”
1. Have youth come up one at a time and choose a GIFT.
2. Read or have leader read what Jesus said, or read scriptures about Jesus and what He did for us.
3. Ask this youth or another youth to tell how this GIFT blesses our lives. Example: Jesus said, “Whoso believeth in me, and is baptized . . . shall be saved” (3 Nephi 11:33).
4. Mount gift on poster/board under the sign. Talk about each gift or blessing.

THOUGHT TREAT: “Eye Single to the Glory of God” Soda Crackers. To help youth peer into a soda cracker with one eye (the other eye closed) to help them focus on the GIFTS found on the poster/board. Have them name one of the teachings of Jesus that they want to think about during the week, keeping their “eye” or “thoughts” on Jesus’s teachings and keeping God’s commandments. See D&C 82:19. “Every man seeking the interest of his neighbor, and doing all things with an eye single to the glory of God.”

• MEMORIZE SCRIPTURE: James 1:5 (Pray – Prayer – Heavenly Father Answers Prayers). Talk about how all of these blessings (found on the GIFTS) come as we have faith in Jesus Christ.
