TO FIND LESSON: Present Lesson 42 – Primary 6 Manual – Old Testament: Daniel in the Lions’ Den.

OBJECTIVE: To help each child understand the value of daily prayer. Review enrichment activities 2 and 4 in the lesson manual for which the following activity illustrates.

ACTIVITY: I Love to Pray prayer spiral
Help children write on the spiral things they are thankful for and things they might pray for morning and night.

TO MAKE: Print and cut out the I Love to Pray prayer spiral for each child. Tie a knot in an 8″ piece of ribbon to hang above their bed as a reminder.

THOUGHT TREAT (when appropriate): Prayer Popcorn. Tell children, “Just as popcorn pops with the effort of heat, our faith can ’pop’ into our lives as we make the effort to kneel down and talk to our Heavenly Father.”
