Youth can learn from the Spirit, The Holy Ghost how to turn righteous ideas (from God) ON and unrighteous ideas (not from God ) OFF! This is done from the bright light warm feeling or the dim light cold feeling. To do the crossmatch draw a line from each word strip/box to the lightbulb it belongs FROM GOD / NOT FROM GOD.

Spirit of Truth (from God/not from God) crossmatch
OBJECTIVE: To encourage the youth to listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. This way they can choose the right and be happy.
ACTIVITY: Spirit of Truth crossmatch
Help youth know the difference between righteous ideas (ideas from God) and unrighteous ideas (ideas Not from God). Explain that ideas are like a light going on inside our minds. The light that comes from God is a bright light that brings a warm, happy feeling. The light that comes not from God is a dim light that brings a cold, sad feeling.
To-Do Crossmatch: Draw a line from each box to the light-bulb where it belongs.
Answers and Additional Scriptures:
Ideas from God: D&C 9:8 (warm feeling inside), Moroni 7:13 (you want to do good, you want to love and serve God), D&C 6:23 and John 14:27 (you have peace in your mind)
Ideas not from God: D&C 9:9 (confusion), Moroni 7:17 (you want to do wrong, you do not want to follow Jesus, you doubt Jesus Christ)
TO MAKE: Print and cut out the Spirit of Truth crossmatch for each child.
THOUGHT TREAT: Rice Krispies Lightbulbs. Make the Rice Krispies Treat recipe (HERE). add yellow food coloring before mixing the cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture. Shape into light bulb shapes. Tell children that we always want to be in the light, to know the truth of all things. Let’s keep our light bright so we can have this bright Spirit with us.
