INVITATION
Invite Activity Days girls to this activity using invitation.
TO MAKE & DELIVER INVITATION.
Print, fill out, and give invitations to youth a week ahead. Have the more active youth personally deliver the invitation to those who are not attending.
ASSIGN TREATS:
• See matching THOUGHT TREATS (below).
• Have girls share their favorite recipes (and be prepared to demonstrate or make them during Activity Days) or have them make them ahead to share.
• With the Activity Days budget have girl help you plan treats ahead for the next activity – hopefully treats that go along with the goal or lesson theme.

Tornado Timer (Quick Housecleaning List)
1. Print and color the Tornado Timer Quick Housecleaning List and a timer.
2. Do the following routine using a timer to learn how to beat the clock and clean a house in little time. Timing is everything when you have very little time and the house needs cleaning. By using a timer you can go through the house like a tornado and make a clean sweep of everything. With this list and your timer your can obey your parents and learn how to work.
How to Clean the House Using the Tornado Timer:
1. Take out your timer and Tornado Timer Checklist and list five things you can do to help around the house (see Tornado Timer Tasks below).
2. Practice beating the clock. Test your timer skills by allowing yourself five minutes to work on each of the five things on your list. Set a timer and go like a tornado to the project and work on it. When the timer rings, set the timer again for five minutes and go to the next task until you have worked on all five.
3. Repeat this process each day, making work into play. Spend more time on things that require a little more effort.
Tornado Timer Tasks: iron, make beds, do laundry, clean or vacuum floors, dust, put things away (with a place for everything), wash dishes, wash windows, do gardening, plan menus, prepare meals, clean bathrooms, shine mirrors, dust, clean the garage, clean the car, empty garbage, and clean out cupboards, closets, and drawers.
DOOR HANGER: Tornado CLEAN: Don’t mess stuff up! Girls will love taking this home as a reminder to place on their doorknob to remember to keep their room clean.
THOUGHT TREAT (Beat-the-Clock Toast). Create a clock by cutting the square edges off a piece of bread and toast it. Then place pieces of celery for the hands. Glue them onto the toast with processed cheese from a can.
Thought: Tell girls their hands are needed to make their homes beautiful places to live. Remind them it only takes five minutes a day on each task to develop their talents as homemakers.
