INVITATION

Invite Activity Days youth to this activity using invitation.

Other Uses For This Same Invitation: Use to invite youth to any mysterious Activity Days activity where clues are used and a mystery is to be solved – it could be to spotlight youth, telling something about each to guess-and-tell. With the hearts on the pocket (of invitation), the leader could have heart-shaped clues to pull out of a trench coat when presenting.

ACTIVITY:
• Print invitations, color them, and give them out a week ahead or have them ready to give to youth at a current activity, inviting them to the next.

• Have youth who are more active take the invitation to those less active.

THOUGHT TREAT: (Service Is in Style Cookies).
Have youth help cut out 4″ sugar cookies into fashion shapes (see ideas underlined below). Then bake, frost, and decorate.
Thoughts: As you eat cookies, talk about these Fashionable Ways to Serve:

• Top off your day with prayer and remember those that need special blessings.
• Skirt pride and selfishness and forget yourself and listen to others.
• Polish your talents and share with others what your fingers can do.
• Curl up in a chair with a child and read them a good book.
• Hats off to Mom for all she does; give her a day off household chores.
• Brush up your pearly whites and share your smile with the lonely.
• You can be fashionable without spending a dime and serve with a smile time after time (see 2 Corinthians 9:7).
• Get your socks to hop to it and serve by running an errand.
• Cinch up your belt for fast Sunday and prepare the after-fast meal ahead of time.
• Slip into a new habit and serve someone new each week.
• Roll up your sleeves and do an extra batch of dishes.
• Boot yourself out of bed and make your family a surprise breakfast.
