Anytime Motivational Activities
Theme: Getting to Know You!
With this Getting to Know You – All About Me – Game & Collage Fun! . . . Get to know the girls to get silly and draw, then create a collage that tells about them.
Activities will help girls develop their art skills and achieve Developing Talents Goal 4: Make an item from wood, metal, fabric, or other material, or draw, paint, or sculpt a piece of art. Display your finished work for others to see.
INVITATION: Invite girls to “Come to a fun and silly activity” with a large pencil to encourage them to do the Silly Draw activity and create their All About Me collage.
Activity 1—Silly Draw
Warm up drawing skills for Activity 2 (below). On the Silly drawing! cards they can draw with silly, funny, quirky cues given (found in the pdf).
Activity 2—All About Me! Collage
With cutouts from magazines and the numbers and All About Me! sign girls can design their collage. They can make a timeline and write events and favorite things to do or have done. Have girls show-and-share their poster.
Success Snack (Painted-Canvas Cookies)
With paint brushes paint cookies before baking with cookie paints. Then bake and show-and-tell about you.
