Use for: Primary Lesson, Family Home Evening, Sharing Time

Click the following to find Sunbeam Lesson 22  – I Can Do Many Things in Primary 1 manual.

OBJECTIVE: Help children know that as children of Heavenly Father we can do many things.

CRAFT ACTIVITY – I Can See, Hear, Smell – String of I “Can” Dos
1. Print or copy the activity.
2. To make, lay a 20″ piece of string on the back center of each can. At the same time, glue the matching sticker over the back of the can (over the string).  Matching stickers: Flower (I Can Smell), Apple (I Can Taste), Airplane  (I Can See), and Bird (I Can Hear).
3. With a string of cans, children can turn cans over to see images on the back, showing them how they can use the senses Heavenly Father gave them to do many things.

THOUGHT TREAT Treats in a can. Enlarge labels (shown left) and place on empty cans to enclose treats to use week after week. Open cans with safety-edge can opener. Use larger cans for graham crackers, soda crackers, cereal, and/or dried fruit. The cans will remind children each week of the things they “can” do.

SINGING for Sunbeam Lesson 22 – I Can Do Many Things:
• Sing “Fun to Do,” “Do As I’m Doing,” and “I Am a Child of God” (Children’s Songbook, 253, 276, 2). For fun visuals, go to the same songs in the Super Little Singers book (34, 2, 34) or CD-ROM.
