NURSERY Lesson 16
or SUNBEAM, Age 3 LESSON:

Little LESSON LIFESAVER
I can say “I’m Sorry!”
poster or coloring page

OBJECTIVE:
Tell children that when we do something wrong or make a mistake, we should say sorry. Then we should try to correct the wrong thing we have done. This way we can soften our heart, be humble, and show we are willing to ask for forgiveness.

POSTER ACTIVITY – Say Sorry Poster
1. Print or copy activity poster to color.

HOVER OVER or ZOOM IN (to view)

2. Talk about the poster, saying, “I can say I’m sorry. When I have done something wrong, I can say I’m sorry and do my best to make it right.”
Activity: Give children a card and have them tear it in half, then have them mend it with tape. Compare this with doing something wrong and mending it by saying sorry and asking for forgiveness.

3. Talk about the Home Activity: “Help me to know when I have done something wrong, but at the same time help me know how to fix it. I want to choose the right so I can be like Jesus and please my Heavenly Father.”

THOUGHT TREAT:  Peek-a-boo roll-ups. Talk about the tears we shed when we know we have done wrong. Say, “Sometimes it is hard to say sorry when we have done wrong.” Give each child a fruit roll-up and have them roll it out and place it in front of their faces. Have children peak out from behind the roll-up and say, ‟I’m sorry.” Talk about actions that make them frown and actions that make them smile.
