MY TITHING Shows My Love to Heavenly Father and Jesus (envelope)
OBJECTIVE: The lesson helps children understand that when we pay an honest tithe we are showing love for Heavenly Father and Jesus. Our tithing helps: Build churches, Bring tithing blessings, Support missionary work.
ACTIVITY: My Tithing Envelope
Create a tithing storage envelope for each child to store ready-to-pay tithing money and receipt forms. Explain that as we pay our tithing, we show love for Heavenly Father and Jesus. Help the child fill out a sample tithing envelope, leaving the amount to be filled in later.
TO MAKE Print or copy, color, and cut out the My Tithing envelope that follows for each child. Fold edges and glue envelope, leaving top flap free to open and close.
THOUGHT TREAT: Ten Bite-size Cookies. Help children give one away to the bishop or the bishop’s counselors, explaining to the bishop of your ward that you are helping the children share 1/10th.
